Hands-on Review: Fenix TK40 High Cree LED 630 Lumens

I needed this for various activities we’re doing about the house. Because it’s not a small flat where everything is reachable on a stretched hand. In a house you have to explore new corners, clean them, fix and so on. This flashlight was really a discovery because I haven’t used this bright flashlights since college when my roommate brought an item his father’s factory where producing.

What I love the most is that:

  1. The maximum light is really impressing: about 984 feet
  2. There are tree different types of output. I can ix the minimum and I’ll have the bright with me for a long time if the place doesn’t require more light.
  3. Waterproof
  4. The body is really massive and high quality. I even threw it by chance on the ground – nothing bad happened
  5. I used AA batteries for it once and it worked perfectly
  6. Not depending on the output you use you can apply slow flash, fast flash, SOS, and tactical strobe abilities.
  7. The carrying case is extremely comfortable and it makes the transportation of the flashlight simple.

That’s the features from the top of my head that are always making me satisfied with the purchase. But besides these, Fenix TK40 has various small pros that I don’t remember right now but which are very important when you are in an extreme situation or condition. You’ll discover them yourself if you try it.

For instance, the fact that even on the most powerful output the light doesn’t disperse with distance. Because usual flashlights often have this drawback and if you need to see what is hidden there in the back of the garage, but you can’t reach the spot because of a enormous pile of something in front of you, you won’t be able to achieve success in what you are trying to do.

After an active use for about two hours on the maximum, you’ll of course have to change the batteries. The Cree LED Flashlight is no miracle and it has to take its power from some sources, but still it’s not an upsetting fact. However if you use it on an average output with normal regularity – it’ll stay charged for about 2 days. I believe this is great for a flashlight like this.

And one more thing that I remember at the moment is that the flashlight memorize the setting you’ve used for the last time. So if you have a standard output that you usually use, you’ll have no need to set it each and every time you switch on the Fenix TK40 flashlight.
