Nowadays all stylish retro things become more and more popular. And I’m the one among those who admire the beauty of old cars, ships, trains and so on. That’s why the Polar Express Train Set captured my attention as soon as I was it. It was exactly what I was dreaming about. We all can remember the movie called "Polar Express", which was produced in 2004 – the Polar Express Train Set is created after this film. It is designed for children from 8 years to 88 years old – because even in that age adults still have childishness in them. It makes real fun for everybody. It is rather easy to construct this fancy train though it is recommended for children to do it together with parents. Because if the kids are too small they can break the details, though they seem to be made in high quality but who knows.

Characteristics in brief

As for me, all of details are rather easy to gather in one ensemble, because they are made perfectly. Sometimes people have problems with manuals (I had no problems) saying they are rather obscure: there are no words about charging the train before starting its run. But this is only one shortcoming connected with instructions – the set is perfect. All of details are made firmly, with top-quality. I observed the engine – it’s really massive. But the cars are light, so that the railway can easily operate with such weight. It is designed to study how to play The Polar Express Train even for beginners. But you should keep an eye on your child because there are little figures in the set that can be lost by him or her.

Design

The Polar Express Train Set is a beautiful little copy of old real trains. It even has a smoke which gets out of the pipe when the train runs. That was a great discovery for me and I was very excited. I know it seems to you that I played with this set more than my son did, but that’s not true) I just love this Polar Express so much for this autentity and similarity with the real train, for the pretty details and passengers – this makes the set amazing and exciting to play with! Another cool feature is a train’s whistle which sounds so realistic!

The track is also made of high quality. The train runs softly round it. The parameters are 60 inches long and 40 inches wide. In fact, it is not too big, but you can find more track pieces from Lionel (sold separately).

The train is well-designed not only with its exterior parts, but with interior as well. І guarantee that you will enjoy the retro-style inside the cars, headlight and hundreds of other stylish details that make the set looking like real.
