Hands-on Review: Busy Zoo Activity Center by Toysmith

I have two kids and so I always look for something new to buy them to play with. Of course I always want toys to be learning, the ones that can teach my kids something new, develop their attention, curiosity etc. I’ve came across this Busy Zoo Center by chance and it captured my sight because of its bright colors, the variety of different little robes, cubes, buttons and small animals etc.

I read on the box that this toy helps to promote hand and eye coordination and it’s advised for children in an age of one year. But still I had some doubts. My girls are 1.5 and 3.2 years old. To tell you the truth I was afraid at first that girls can rip something off and swallow. But then I checked everything myself and I noticed that it sticks rather well.

Main features

It’s really fun. It’s fun even for me, a twenty-eight-year old mother. I can take Toysmith Busy Zoo and play it as well when I’m watching TV or I want to occupy my thought with something relaxing. It’s entertaining to push the button inside and then outside again.
Five various sides are never boring. You can do this, then that then this again.
It weighs about 17.6 pounds. Rather heavy for a one-year-old child that’s why it’ll be staying at one place all the time. It’s in fact very convenient feature – your child won’t have desire to take it everywhere with him and you can keep an eye on your baby while he or she plays.

Seemed to me great advantages:

1. First of all, the variety of activities to do. I’ve already mentioned it but I wanted to emphasize this fact. As a mother of two children I know that sometimes it’s an unbearable task for parents to buy kids as much toys as they want. This one you’ll buy for a long period of time: it’ll be still exciting even after a year of active use: as your kids grow up they start learning shapes, sizes, weight and animals, then letter etc

2. Both of my girls loved the game. Except that my older one is a bit too “serious” for it already. I don’t know, whether it’s only her or it’s the same for all kids of her age. But I think it’ll be useful when she starts learning the alphabet: reversible blocks with the letters on them make learning fun.

3. Its size is the second advantage. Why? Because it have an unordinary size. My younger girls at first pulled it on herself, but it was my fault as I didn’t control the situation. But because of that case now she knows that she has to be very attentive and when she wants to look on the bottom side of the Toysmith Busy Zoo Activity Center she does this carefully.

4. It’s great experience for both children and parents. Children remember their mistakes and never repeat them again – in case with my girl, when she pulled the zoo center on herself. For parents – they learn their children how to treat this kind of toys: be careful when you put your fingers here and there, be attentive and so on.

There’s nothing else to say. I’ve enjoyed the toy myself, but my girls were hundred times more excited.
